CAC2S provides the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Commander with the mission critical support system required to integrate aviation and ground combat operations in support of Marine Corps operational objectives. CAC2S processes, fuses, and distributes air and ground data from sensors, other C2 nodes, and aircraft to provide the information needed to effectively execute Marine, Naval, and Joint aviation operations. CAC2S also integrates and air defense weapon systems (surface-to-air weapons and aircraft) to contribute to the Naval Force and Joint Integrated Fire Control to enable the kill chain.

The CTN system provides a joint sensor netting capability integrating ground, surface, and airborne sensors through the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) network to provide accurate, composite, real-time airborne tracks to Command and Control (C2) nodes. CTN distributes sensor (AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Tasked Organized Radar) measurement and composite track data and receives/distributes joint track data to C2 nodes and weapons systems participating in CEC networks. CTN provides an accurate representation of the airspace, enabling air and surface integrated fire control, and extending air defensive capability of forces stationed at sea.

TBMCS-MC provides the Marine Corps with an air battle planning tool for Air Tasking Order and Airspace Control Order generation, dissemination, and execution of joint mandated integration air C2 system that enables air component commander to plan, direct, and control all theater air operations and to coordinate with land, maritime, and special operations elements. TBMCS provides situational awareness and assessment, airspace de-confliction, execution management, mission planning and re-planning, assault support processing, and close air support to the operational forces Fleet Marine Forces. Providing the core command and control system to the Tactical Air Command Center, TBMCS assists the battle commander in management of tactical air operations, executing area air defense and airspace management in the tactical area of operations, and coordinate operations with components of other military services.
